Isaiah 43:18-19
September 20th - October 10th
New Season “A New Day Dawning” Isaiah 43:18-19
God is the God who makes all things “NEW.” The word “New” is de- fined as: being other than the former, to be made fresh, usually of different or superior quality.
The pandemic has caused all of us to adapt to many changes as it relates to our normal routine and schedule. However, during chal- lenging times we can rely on God to be our peace, to be our shep- herd (Roi) and to open a new path and give us hope for our future.
We believe that “A New Day is Dawning”. For as we serve and love one another and seek the Lord together, we will find strength to press forward until every promise and kingdom vision comes to past. Eph. 6:18 (NIV) tells us to “pray in the spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayer and requests,” and “be alert and always keep praying for all the Lord’s people”.
Our Prayer is that God will make everything NEW – in us, in our community, our country, our ministry and our relationship with
Him. As we fast and pray over these next 21 days let’s be in expec- tation of God doing new things in extraordinary ways, in this NEW SEASON.
To get the most out of each daily prayer focus, make it personal; by praying the word, speaking the word, declaring the word, and seek- ing for ways to apply the word.
Fasting is one of the three basic spiritual disciplines. Praying and studying the Bible are the other two. We fast and consecrate as demonstrated throughout scripture, as a willful expression of our deep sincere commitment to God and hunger for God.
You will note that while the “consecration” begins immediately, the “fasting” portion is a gradual yet progressive process of weaning from food, to total reliance on God for subsistence.
If you’ve never fasted before, take heart. There’s a first time for eve- ry thing! If you are on medication, use wisdom. All of us can partici- pate to some degree. We encourage you to do the best that you can and remember, “his strength is made perfect in weakness.”
If you find yourself struggling or discouraged, call another saint. We should encourage one another.
The daily prayer points are intended to serve as corporate devotional focus. However, allow the Holy Spirit to direct you for a more personal and extensive time of prayer and study of the word.
Week One - New Priorities:
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. (Matt. 6:33) May we never forget that our prin- ciples determine our priorities, our priorities determine our practices, and our practices determine the pattern of our lives.
