Welcome to Impact Christian Church! We are honored to have you with us this Sunday morning as we celebrate Jesus.
Impact is a new church in Independence. With the focus of restoring hope in a hurting world, we are committed to being a family of everyday people doing what we can to honor God and serve each other.
We are a non-denominational, New Testament, Christian Church. What that simply means is that we are wide open to people from all backgrounds, regardless of where they are in their spiritual journey. So whether you are a committed Christian or just starting to ask questions about this Jesus thing, we want you to know that you belong here! You can be you. We don’t have to agree on every religious or political idea in order to be a part of what Jesus is doing in our midst. In fact, when we come together around Jesus in spite of our differences, we get to experience a beautiful picture of the way God designed the Church.

• Humble adoration

This week Rev 3:14-19
14:
Jesus is the beginning and the one that will determine the true end.
---Jesus has been here since the beginning of creation
---What Jesus says will happen
15-16:
I know your works
You can’t hide what you have or have not done from Jesus
---Doing nothing is the same as doing wrong
---John 15:1-5 "I am the true vine..."
How do you know if you are lukewarm?
---Do you know what Jesus wants from you?
---Do you ask what Jesus wants from you?
---Do you do what he wants you to do?
---Do you see results?
Different results:
---1. What you say and how you say it changes
---2. People point out change
---3. You are more patient, loving, joyful, selfless, kind, peaceful, gentle, and you have more self control
---4. You serve others around you
---5. You lead people to Jesus
17-19:
- Jesus will do everything he can to reach you including discipline
- Our church cannot be one that does nothing
- Acts 2:42-47 "And they devoted themselves..."
How we know as a church we are not lukewarm:
---We teach and listen to God’s word (Apostles teaching)
---We spend time together in honor of Jesus (Fellowship)
---We share meals together including communion (breaking of bread)
---We pray together
---We live in awe and wonder of what God is doing (Worship)
---We give to the church and to the people in the church
---We serve others (Favor of all the people)
---We see people being lead to Jesus
Dear church: Followers of Jesus live effective lives for Jesus
