Reasons divorce is permitted
1. Unfaithfulness (Matthew 19:9, Matthew 5:32)
2. Abandonment by and unbeliever (1 Corinthians 7:15)

Marriage and Divorce
1. God created marriage to last a lifetime
2. Marriage glues two people together forever
3. The Lord is able

If divorce has happened (2 Cor. 5:17)
1. Make it right
- with the Lord
- with others
2. Make sure it doesn't happen again
- don't waste your pain
- own your issues
3. Make Christ the Lord of your life

A Personal Note From Pastor Marcus
Many would say that I'm disqualified due to my divorce. I would absolutely agree. I would also agree that I have never been qualified to serve as a pastor. As David said in Psalm 51:3, "For I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is always before me..." In acknowledging my sin, I also have to acknowledge the grace of God. After much counsel and word studies in 1 Tim. 3, I am at peace in serving where I serve. I will not try and argue with those who believe otherwise. May the grace of the Lord be with them as He has been with me. I can only focus on sharing His grace with others and leave it in His hands for judgment day.
