JUBILEE SERVICE DAY • Serving the need. Building the community. Sign up today for the 16th Annual Jubilee Service Day, on August 28th, 8am-12pm. Jubilee Service Day is an annual August event that brings together people in the community to serve at local public schools on the Eastside.

Started in 2005 with one church serving at one school, this day has grown to involve over 3,000 volunteers, 22 schools and at least 25 homes in 2019. Volunteers come from all over the community, primarily from local churches, organizations, businesses, and people already partnering with Jubilee REACH.

We are looking for volunteer leads to help plan, coordinate registration, snacks, pressure washing, landscape cleanup, etc. for Calvary Chapel Eastside’s service day at Cougar Ridge Elementary School. Please contact Pastor Merlyn (merlyn@cceastside.com) to learn more and sign up for a team.

CCE SUMMER PICNIC • Summer is the perfect time for a picnic! Head over to Lakemont Park after service on August 29th for a picnic lunch and games!

Bring a blanket or folding chair, baseball mitt (if you have one), and your lunch. We’ll break bread together at the covered picnic area and then enjoy fun and friendly games on the field!

AWANA • Calvary Chapel Eastside’s Awana program is a great way for young people to draw near to Jesus as they hide God’s Word in their hearts. Knowing how God wants us to live out our faith is vitally important to our spiritual health and the future of our children.

We are kicking off our 2021-22 season on Wednesday, September 15th. All children 3 years through 6th grade will grow in their love and knowledge of Jesus through the Bible in this multi-leveled club.

WOMEN’S WEDNESDAY BIBLE STUDY • CCE’s Wednesday Women’s Bible Study is kicking off our summer study with an Introduction to the Minor Prophets.

The books of the Minor Prophets are often overlooked and underestimated. These short books of prophecy can be challenging because of their language and historical context, but they are valuable for understanding God’s heart for all people.

In our deep dive into four of the minor prophets, we hope to demystify these books and study them so we understand more of God’s character, His promises, and His covenantal love.

In addition to his Pastoral responsibilities, Kurt teaches at the school of discipleship, serves as an elder, and provides counseling, visitation, outreach, Bible study, and prayer. Outside of church activities, Kurt spends one day a week helping at a refugee camp, and he is very involved with his children. Tiffany’s main ministry is being a wife and mother. At Home ~ If you have an elevated temperature or compromised immune system, please join us online from the comfort of your home.

Come-In ~ If you’re ready to assemble, please join us. Masks are optional. If you need a mask, complementary cloth and disposable masks are available in the lobby.

If you desire to be in an area where masks are worn at all times, we have reserved Room 201 (upstairs/west side - nearest 164th) and the Chapel in Room 206 (upstairs/east side). Both locations have live feeds and windows that open to safety locks.

Parents with children may sign in through KidCheck stations on the first floor, near the Lobby Information Booth. Parents are encouraged to set up accounts through the KidCheck app or website (go.kidcheck.com/signin.aspx?action=register), at home on any computer or smart device.

On Sunday morning, you will then be able to sign in your children from your home or car.

When you enter the church, select the print option on your mobile device, and then pick up your stickers at the Lobby Information Booth before taking your children to our COVID Safe environment in Room 204.

Though masks are optional, children must wear their badges for the entire time they are in the children's wing.

Parents MUST have a guardian receipt to enter the children's wing and pick up their child(ren).

We take the safety of our kids very seriously and hope our procedures will give parents a strong sense of security.

Hands-free water faucets and soap dispensers are available in all our restrooms. In addition, we have hands-free sanitizer stations set up throughout the main concourse.

Seating Options

Inside the sanctuary, rows have been spaced to support social distancing. In addition to the sanctuary, we have the Fragrance Free Zone in the back of the room with its own ventilation system, climate control, and restroom.

As mentioned, rooms 201 and 206 (Chapel) are great options for those desiring more separation, with windows that open up to safety locks.

Both of these satellites have live feeds so you can follow what is going on in the sanctuary.

Please remember to pick up a communion packet in the lobby before heading to either location.

JUBILEE REACH GROCERY PROGRAM • Calvary Chapel Eastside is seeking helpers to assist with Food Distribution for the Jubilee Reach Grocery Program.

We are looking for volunteers who can donate funds for grocery items, or bring bags of non-perishable groceries to Jubilee Reach on assigned Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Each bag is paired with boxes of perishable food provided by Jubilee Reach and given to a family in need.

Currently serving 500 families every week, the Jubilee Reach Grocery Program is a wonderful way to serve alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ to help our communities.
