Major Lessons From Minor Prophets: Reckless Love
It is the truth beyond doubt - God loves you. It is an amazing love. We think of it in human terms as a reckless love because that is how we see it. We know who we are and when we realize how deep God’s love is for us we stop and go “God, you are crazy for loving me like this.” Yet to God His love is not reckless it is in fact who He is. This isn’t reckless meaning without thought this is reckless meaning no matter the cost. That is the reckless love of God.

Major lesson: God prefers faithful love and a personal relationship of knowing him rather than works or ritual.
Gomer: complete, enough, not lacking in one’s self.
Jezreel: a valley of bloodshed.
Lo-ruhamah: no compassion or no mercy.
Grace is getting the blessings we do not deserve. Mercy is not getting the punishment we do deserve.

How do I meet Jesus and be saved?
A - Admit to God that you are a sinner and repent - turn away from - your sins. (Romans 3:23)
B - Believe that Jesus is God’s Son - Savior, Christ & Lord - and accept His free gift of forgiveness and grace. (John 3:16, Romans 5:8)
C- Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. (Romans 10:9)
