Bethsaida was on the northeast coast of the Sea of Galilee. The people there had witnessed many miracles but had not come to faith in Christ. For the most part, they rejected Him.
We need to bring others to Jesus.
Jesus made physical contact with the blind man. More than any other gospel writer, Mark has Jesus touching people. He records at least 11 instances where Jesus made physical contact with a person in need. He touched a leper (Mark 1:41), a dead body (5:41), and a demon-possessed boy (9:27). He broke the rules of the Pharisees by doing so, but Mark portrays Jesus as having deep concern first with people in need.
Jesus cares for everyone on a spiritual level.
This is a very different response than what most of us would have imagined because the man was not totally healed at one time.
Sometimes we may think we have clear spiritual vision, but it is fuzzy. Why is our vision fuzzy? It is because we need to spend more time with God and then He will make things clear.

We need to spend more time with God
Here is the uniqueness of this miracle. This is the only account in the gospels of a gradual healing—a healing that took more than one touch from the hand of the Master. It took a second touch from Jesus’ hand to give him clear vision.
We always need another touch from Jesus
People want to make compromises when it comes to God’s Word, and we can not make compromises.
Don't reject the truth (God's Word)
We need the touch of the Master to open our spiritual eyes on a daily basis.
