To KNOW and OBEY Jesus and TRAIN others to do the same is to grow spiritually towards the great goal of Christlikeness.

The Bible teaches that we were all spiritually dead and separated from God until we receive grace through believing in Christ.

After becoming a Christian, we are no longer spiritually dead and we begin a lifelong journey of spiritual growth as disciples or followers of Jesus and that journey is marked by:

* spiritually Dead
* spiritual Infancy
* spiritual Childhood
* spiritual young adult
* spiritual parent

Spiritual Infancy is the beginning of the process of being more like Jesus. Characteristics of Spiritual Infants are: Ignorance, Confusion and Dependence.

Those of us at the Spiritual Childhood stage are characterized by three main characteristics, namely: Self-centeredness, Idealism, and overconfidence or under-confidence.

To help the spiritual child continue to grow, we need to provide instruction as well as model to them how they can feed themselves, who they are in Christ, how to have fellowship with Christ and other believers, and about appropriate expectations concerning other believers.
