Offering and Family Needs

Giving and helping are both essential during this time. We encourage you to decide in your heart how much you should give during this time, and then offer it cheerfully to the Lord as an act of worship. If you have a need, please let us know by connecting with your GC leader or emailing communications@oakhillfellowship.com with your need.
One note: at this time we do not have a specific "benevolence fund" to which you can give. That said, we have allocated extra funds from the general fund to help people connected to Oak Hill during this time.
In all of this we want to be an Acts 4 kind of church: Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common. And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all. There was not a needy person among them, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold and laid it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need. (Acts 4:32–35 ESV)

Questions & Personal Applications Gospel Community
(Small Groups)

Apply 1: Read 17:1-6. Micah and his mother have a corrupt understanding of what God desires in worship. What are some common misunderstandings about what God desires in worship today? What are some New Testament patterns that God has commanded his church to practice in their worship (compile a list with scriptures – ex: Heb. 10:24-25)?

Apply 2: Read 17:7-13 and 2 Tim. 4:3-5. Why does Micah hire this Levite? Why does the Levite agree to be hired? How does this relate to Paul’s exhortation to Timothy? What can we do to prevent corrupt leadership from taking root in our church?

Apply 3: Read 18:1-31, Judges 1:34, and Matthew 28:18-20. God had allotted Dan a specific portion of the inheritance, but they failed to drive the people out. Instead, they went to a different place and waged a different mission to which God
had not called them. What are some different missions we could center our church around than the true mission of making disciples? How do we keep this “mission drift” from happening?

Rebellion and Rescue Bible Reading Plan

Starting March 8th. In this 12-week series(including Resurrection Sunday) The book of Judges can be easily overlooked in our Bibles, possibly because it's the hardest to look at. We hope this reading plan will equip you for a lifestyle of gospel-centered repentance as we learn to break the cycles of our rebellious sin.
