Pentecost is for everyone, ALL (male/female) are called to be FILLED with the Spirit… ALL (male/female) called to PROPHESY

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, and there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Gal. 3:28).

That’s the power and effect of Pentecost. What was once divided, is now made one.

God is no respecter of persons… He is looking for AVAILABILITY, not ABILITY

COMPLEMENTARIAN VS EGALITARIAN

COMPLEMENTARIAN - the viewpoint that God restricts women from serving in certain church leadership roles and instead calls women to serve in equally important, but complementary roles.

EGALITARIAN - the viewpoint that there are no biblical gender-based restrictions on ministry in the church.

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, and there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Gal. 3:28).

REVELATIONS FROM THE DAUGHTERS OF REVIVAL

1) MARY MAGDALEN - THE FIRST EVANGELIST

John 20:11–18 (ESV)

11 But Mary stood weeping outside the tomb, and as she wept she stooped to look into the tomb. 12 And she saw two angels in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had lain, one at the head and one at the feet. 13 They said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him.” 14 Having said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing, but she did not know that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.” 16 Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned and said to him in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means Teacher). 17 Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’ ” 18 Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord”—and that he had said these things to her.

A) MARY WAS THE FIRST TO SEE JESUS AFTER HIS RESURRECTION

B) MARY WAS THE FIRST PREACH THE RESURRECTION

MARY REVEALS THAT IT DOESN’T MATTER HOW OUR STORY BEGINS, HE IS THE ONE WHO WRITES HOW IT ENDS… I JUST NEED TO TRUST HIM WITH THE PEN

"God doesn’t consult our past to create our future."

Learn to see yourself each day through our MESSIAH, not your MIRROR!!!

2) PRISCILLA - FIRST CENTURY MISSIONARY & CHURCH PLANTER

Greet Prisca and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, who risked their necks for my life, to whom not only I give thanks but all the churches of the Gentiles give thanks as well. Greet also the church in their house. (Romans 16:3–5 ESV)

After this Paul left Athens and went to Corinth. And he found a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to leave Rome. And he went to see them, and because he was of the same trade he stayed with them and worked, for they were tentmakers by trade. (Acts 18:1–3 ESV)

He began to speak boldly in the synagogue, but when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately. (Acts 18:26 ESV)

Priscilla reveals that Your home can be more than a safe place for your family, it can be a sanctuary to many…you just have to open the door

Moms... thank you, raising our children/adopted children/spiritual children… you see the best in us before we do… we need your encouragement

There are sons and daughters in the faith who need a spiritual mom to make them better by investing in them!

3) PHOEBE - A DEACON IN THE CHURCH

I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a servant (diakonos) of the church at Cenchreae, that you may welcome her in the Lord in a way worthy of the saints, and help her in whatever she may need from you, for she has been a patron of many and of myself as well. (Romans 16:1–2 ESV)

a) Phoebe, a leader in the church and highly commended by Paul.

b) Church historians have long believed that Phoebe was the person who delivered Paul’s letter to the Romans.

c) Was a wealthy woman and had a well established reputation for generous service among the saints.

Phoebe reveals that each of us will hear the jeers from those who site idle in the stands; ignore them. You have far more cheers coming from the multitude in the great cloud of witnesses… including a deacon named Phoebe!

Phoebe also reveals that no matter much you’ve given in the past, there is still something greater to give!

- Someone needs a word of encouragement brought to them
- Someone needs to be sent with that word
