The question Psalm 91 addresses: “Who will protect me?”
The truth of Psalm 91:
God offers you protection
God offers you protection
"Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.' " Psalm 91:1-2
“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” Psalm 91:14-16
-The context of this psalm is set within (verse 1) a relationship of connection, and a relationship of trust (verse 2) .
-It’s as if the psalmist is saying “No matter what is happening around me, I trust you, and I trust in your protection of me”
-The powerful truth of Psalm 91 is this: God offers protection...for those who love Him, for those who trust Him, for those who dwell and abide so near to Him that they are resting in His shadow.

The tension of Psalm 91:
What about those who don’t appear protected?
What about those who don’t appear protected?
The proclamation of Psalm 91 goes like this:
"Not only I will protect you FROM all trouble, I will protect you IN all trouble."
"Not only I will protect you FROM all trouble, I will protect you IN all trouble."
