What good are all truths about God, Jesus and the Bible that we profess if they don't lead to practice?
There should be significant and growing alignment between the values associated with knowing and obeying Jesus and our everyday living.
Week 1 BIG IDEA:
Everyday practice and application of spiritual values is what defines knowing and obeying Jesus.
Life Shaping Truth # 1 - “We will do everything the Lord has commanded. We will obey.” (Exodus 24:7b)
Life Shaping Truth # 2 - "We will dismantle all barriers that get in the way of alignment."
Week 2 BIG IDEA:
The greatest influence we can make with our lives is through selfless service and living a life of humility.
Life Shaping Truth # 3 - "We are happiest when we prioritize and engage in selfless service."
Life Shaping Truth # 4 - "We will intentionally choose the path of humility."

BIG IDEA:
The process of spiritual maturity calls for us to release the old way of life so that we can receive and experience the new life.
>>> "We will let go of the old and look forward to the new that God calls us to."
* God reveals He is in control when we find ourselves in places and experiences we can't control.
"There are far far better things ahead than any we leave behind."
(C.S. Lewis)
>>> "We will let go of what we are familiar with to grab hold of what we don't know."
* A new nature leads to new habits.
