Faces in the Crowd
John 12:12-50

Today, as in Jesus’ own day, people respond to him in a variety of different ways. In the crowd on that first Palm Sunday, we see a variety of people and a variety of responses to Jesus. See if you can spot yourself in the crowd.

I. In the crowd we see Fans who responded to Jesus with Short-Term Enthusiasm.

II. In the crowd we see Disciples who responded to Jesus with Long-Term Commitment.

III. In the crowd we see Gentiles who responded to Jesus with Earnest Interest.

IV. In crowd we see the Majority who responded to Jesus with Hardened Unbelief.

V. In the crowd we see the Silent who responded to Jesus with Conflicted Allegiance.

SUN, MAR 28 @ 11:45 AM // DCC Spring Business Meeting
The DCC Spring Business Meeting will be held following the worship service. All members of the congregation are encouraged to remain for the brief meeting. Agenda items include 1) the affirmation of the slate of officers for 2021-2022; 2) the election of a Nominating Committee; 3) action on the By-Laws and Policy Manual of This Little Light of Mine Preschool. The list of nominations is posted on the bulletin board.

Kids’ Connection (kindergarten-grade 5) and Jr. High Youth Group (grades 6-8) will meet this week. High school students are also welcome to attend this week.

FRI, APRIL 2 @ 7:00 PM // Community Good Friday Service at DCC
The service is sponsored by the Fisher-Area Ministerial association and an opportunity to give financially toward their ministries will be provided. Singing will be led by our worship team and Rev. Andy Baker of River Valley Church of Christ will bring the message.

SUN, APRIL 4 // Resurrection Day!
Come and celebrate Christ’s resurrection with friends and family at DCC. Due to Covid 19, we will not have our “normal” Easter (Communion Service and Breakfast) observances but will have our “normal” Sunday ministries. Sunday School classes will meet at 9:30am. (Donuts and coffee will be served and can be taken to the Sunday School classes.) Our Easter worship service will begin at 10:35 am. The message, “The Resurrection: An Idle Tale?” will be drawn from Luke 24:1-12.

High School Students are welcome to participate in the upcoming week’s (March 31 and April 7) Wednesday evening activities. The first Senior High Youth group night will be on Sunday, April 11 from 6:30-8:00 pm. There will be food, games and music! See Pastor Andrew for more information.

Online Church Directory: With the arrival of the C. Family, an effort is being made to make the DCC online directory more complete. If you are not currently listed in the directory, please fill out the form (Online Church Directory Information) located on the table in the entryway. If you have not yet added a picture to the directory, you can do so by following the directions on the Instant Church Directory app. Access to the directory is limited to those included in the directory. This will be a great tool for Andrew and Paige to use as they get acquainted with their new church family.
