BIG IDEA:
When Jesus' hope and power collide with our despair and weakness we experience the miracle of a new and greater life.

* The collision of two crowds = the collision of two worldviews.

* Grace = God through Jesus interrupts our despair and weakness with deep and life-giving hope and power.

* Moved by compassion Jesus says what cannot be said at a funeral and touches the untouchable.

* Jesus reveals God who comes close to us to heal our brokenness with kindness and compassion.

>>> In and through Jesus, Life has the final word.

* The permanent defeat of death is found in the hope of resurrection.

* When God visits funerals are cancelled.

May we constantly be reminded that the risen Christ meets us on our funeral processions, reminding us that death will not have the last word.
