Today's message is Solus Christus ("in Christ Alone"):
salvation is by faith in Christ alone; through the atoning work of Christ alone, apart from our individual works.
The reformation made it clear that we are not saved by anything that we can do, it is through what Christ has done for us.

Solus Christus (“Christ alone”): salvation is by faith in Christ alone; that is, through the atoning work of Christ alone, apart from individual works, and that Christ is the only mediator between man and God.
Jesus Christ alone is our Lord, Savior, and King.
Our hope is not found in a pope, a pastor, a political leader or ideology. Our hope is in Christ alone. People will fail, but God will not.
By the grace of God we are saved through faith in Jesus Christ as the Scriptures teach.

The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live"
The "wrath of God" is real.
Because of our sin, our crimes against God, we deserve to be punished.
We have the best legal representative there is!
Jesus is representing us before God, the Judge on the throne.
Jesus didn't ask that our punishment be erased.
He asked the Judge to punish Him in my place.
And the Judge agreed.
