In-Person Worship Reminders

· In our service today, we ask that everyone wear a mask, and we have masks should you need one.
· Congregational singing will be suspended temporarily until statistics decrease to a safer rate as singing has been linked to Covid-19 spread in several churches. We will continue to have music and you may hum to your hearts content!
· On Communion Sundays we will be offering a self-serve container which includes a wafer, cup, and juice.
· While we are all excited to see each other again, we will strive to refrain from shaking hands or hugging.
· Hand sanitizer will be available as you enter and exit the service area.

And I invite you to join in as we celebrate Holy Communion in today’s worship. For those online, please prepare your personal, at-home communion. You could use a bread-like food and a small drink as your elements. And those in worship, please receive a communion ‘bread and cup set’ at the entrances. Even now, if you need one.

We look forward to worshiping together on Easter Sunday, April 4th. In order to ensure a safe worship experience for both our celebrants and our congregants, we are requiring that anyone wishing to attend CUMC on Easter, to RSVP for either the 8:15 or the 10:30 service. This way, we can make sure our attendance is managed in a safe manner. So, please sign up or call the office. With appropriate spacing, the capacity for our sanctuary is approximately 60 people. And if that capacity is reached, we will have overflow seating set up in the Church Atrium, where the service can be viewed on the large screen. Many churches in the area, utilized an RSVP approach for Christmas, and are planning to do so again, for Easter. So, we felt it is a good approach to try, in order to have a safe, in-person worship on this most holy of days. So, let us know!

And congratulations goes to Pastor Ivy. On Tuesday, she was informed that she will be ordained as an Elder in the United Methodist Church this June. She has worked hard over the past few years to achieve this status and we will all be the better for it, Congrats to Pastor Ivy! Job well done.

And as always, we thank our Trustees for sanitizing our sanctuary before and after each service. We so appreciate you! And please decide to help the Trustees at least one Sunday or more. Just let them know.

Prelude: “Loves Divine, All Loves Excelling” – Peggy Elliott

Call to Worship
L: God is our light and our salvation; whom shall we fear?
C: God is our shelter and refuge on the days of trouble,
L: and our hope and joy on the days of celebration! Day after day,
we seek God’s face and the assurance of God’s holy love.
C: God, do not turn from us or hide your face from us! Be our guide and our light instead!
L: One thing we ask of God, that we may live and have You dwell in our hearts and minds.
C: And that we never cease to behold the beauty found in God’s home, God’s people and God’s ways.
L: Beloved of God, enter this worship in thanksgiving, for God is among and within us!
C: Thanks be to God!
