https://www.thesummitchurch.live/Love has the power to change our future! With this in mind, what are your takeaways from the following passages?
Fear is commonly used as a motivator for change. Share examples you have seen of this (parenting, churches, government, etc.). Now review the following passage and discuss how love is a greater motivator than fear.
Likewise, guilt is a commonly used motivator for change. How have you seen this in your life?
Love can actually be used as an unhealthy motivator. When someone is "living for love", they strive to earn love through performance and approval. They can exhaust themselves trying to keep up with another's conditions. What are your thoughts on this?
When love is a healthy motivator, we are "living from love". Here, love is empowering and unconditional. We respond because we are loved, not in order to be loved. How have you seen or experienced such a love?
Discuss the following outcomes when someone is living from love...
- Confidence: "I got this!"
- Courage: "I am not alone!"
- Change: "I can become!"
- Confidence: "I got this!"
- Courage: "I am not alone!"
- Change: "I can become!"
Who do you need to thank? In other words, someone's love changed your future! Be sure to thank them this week.
Whose future do you need to change with your love? Start a "You can count on me!" conversation with someone!
