Don't ever forget that Satan's aim is always deceit and destruction. He targets your heart for destruction.

We need to be careful - sin is worse than we perceive it to be.

In other words, you may be able to describe the great Bible doctrines but not apply them to your heart. Why? You confuse Bible knowledge with maturity, biblical insight with wisdom, and biblical talk with walking in the Spirit. You confuse yourself thinking that the “what” of the Bible insulates you from yourself, your own flesh, and notions of great pride. Instead, confused by your own knowledge, you fail to walk with the “Who” of the Bible. -- Kevin Carson

Your faith is not in the obedience and virtue of a Christian leader, but in Jesus Christ who will never fail.

How could you start your Christian life by the Spirit and try to finish by the flesh?

The law says "Do this". The gospels say "Jesus did it all".

One cancels the other out for salvation; Not a sum of the two!

Galatians were already sons of Abraham by faith and included in the blessing without circumcision or the keeping of the law.

Important: The Holy Spirit is given when you hear the word and believe. Not later. Not multiple phases or classes of Christians.

We (those who have faith) are blessed with Abraham. We are included in everything that was promised to Abraham. Think about that for a minute or two. That is good news!

Plan to bring humanity back to its original purpose of dwelling with God.

How could the anointed one of God be "hanging on a tree" instead of reigning on a throne?

God takes sin very seriously. The works of the law are under a curse. It brings condemnation.

It's horrible to sin, but wonderful to be forgiven. -- Dr. Kellemen

The grace of God not only saves us, but it is also what changes us.

It is the grace of God that creates a desire and eagerness to do good works. Just don't trust in them to save you.

Paul takes us on a redemptive journey through history. The story of Abraham, Moses and Jesus Christ and each of us is linked together. Nothing is lost to time.

The Bible is not a haphazard compilation of unrelated facts.

The law does not invalidate or cancel the promise given to Abraham. It is free and unconditional. Not strings attached.

This is a story about Abraham, but it's also about me because I'm in it. But it's mostly about Jesus!

While I'm certainly in the story, what's more important is that Jesus is in me by his promised Spirit through faith.

1 Corinthians 8:1–3 (CSB) — 1 Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that “we all have knowledge.” Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.2 If anyone thinks he knows anything, he does not yet know it as he ought to know it. 3 But if anyone loves God, he is known by him.

James 2:22–23 (CSB) — 22 You see that faith was active together with his works, and by works, faith was made complete, 23 and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness, and he was called God’s friend.
