LIFE GROUP DISCUSSION

TRUTH:
1. What does it mean that Jesus opens and closes the door (Rev. 3:7)?
2. In what three ways do we need to stand for Christ?
3. What does it mean to be marked by God (Rev. 3:11-13)?

EQUIPPING:
4. How has God opened doors for you in the last year?
5. Which of the three ways we need to stand is the most challenging for you? Why?
6. Do you find comfort in knowing that God has marked you as His child?

ACCOUNTABILITY:
Since we haven’t had a week before this one, there is no accountability question. Next week we will look at your goals from this week.

MISSION:
Pick someone that you know you need to take another step with this week. Perhaps you can learn if a co-worker is a Christian, invite a family member to church or lead a friend to Christ. Make a goal for this week and bring back a story to share next week. Feel free to take a few minutes to pray for God to show you that person.

SUPPLICATION:
How can the group pray for God to help you this week?
Jesus is a king who opens and closes the door.
Jesus has nothing bad to say about the church in Philadelphia.
The door to the kingdom is 2 things:

1. Opportunity to reach outsiders.

2. Opportunity for a relationship with Christ.
How can we stand for Christ?

1. Take responsibility and give up control.

2. Cling to God's purposes, not man's.

3. Keep the Lord's commands.
As a child of God, He marks you and you cannot be taken.
