What is freedom?
Freedom is a catalyst or a conduit - a pathway from something or to something.
Freedom to choose isn’t always a good thing because we often choose the wrong thing, things that cost us our freedom. Sometimes we choose to give up freedom in some ways for better things.
Condemnation.
Condemnation is the inevitable result of making choices for self over God and His righteous expectations.
The fear of it affects us all, but our responses to it are varied.
God’s Word clearly shows us that we are all in this.

God’s attitude is revealed.

The 10 commandments are only an overview of God’s general expectations, but we fail in each category.
We want to live right but keep failing.

Our freedom is forfeit. So what can we do?
This passage declares a wonderful truth that shines brighter than our sin. It points us to a second choice that can reverse the curse on our first ones.
This wonderful word means freedom from condemnation. It applies to those “in Christ Jesus”.
We are saved from a law to a law. It’s this new law that sets us free from the results of breaking the old one.
What is the law of the Spirit of life?

The law of the Spirit of life is finding justification (just as if I never sinned) by responding to God’s grace (the gift of Jesus) by my faith (an intimate personal relationship).
You have the freedom to choose Jesus, and when you do, He will set you free. Free from condemnation, free from sin, free from its results.
Three tiny words to remember:
1. So. That is the level to which God loves you - that Jesus loves you.
John 3:16 NIV
2. No. That is the level of condemnation that awaits you when you respond to Jesus.
3. Go. That is what you do with the matchless freedom God has given you.
If you have that kind of freedom, you can navigate anything in this life, including pandemics and their results.
