As arrive at the end of I Samuel 22:17 and we enter into the beginning of I Samuel 23:1, we see two examples of men rising to challenges, men willing to do what is right, examples of men being men, examples of men who were willing to man up! In society, to ‘man up’ is often interpreted one way. If you look up the phrase on the internet however, ‘man up’ is defined as to ‘be brave or tough enough to deal with an unpleasant situation’. This definition truly applies to these two scriptures in our readings. Today, we want to encourage both men and women, to be brave or tough enough to deal with unpleasant situations! Today we just want to encourage you to man up and to woman up!
Point #1: Do what is right, not what others want you to do
Point #2: Stand up for what you believe
Point #3:Help when you are able to help
Point #4: Help even when you are afraid
