Sunday 8:15 AM

We can’t proclaim our lives as an offering to the Lord and then refuse to be used according to His will. As we give every part of our life we must be Mission Minded as we make that offering.
Our Mission is to be united in Christ and transformed by His love to bring our community into the family of God.
We do that by loving God through worship, uniting in fellowship, connecting through discipleship, serving through ministry, and reaching out community with the gospel.
The church will fail at its mission if its people aren’t mission minded in everything they do.
Where God does not reveal Himself, His will, and His word to His people – those people will cast off restraint – they will be alone – they will perish spiritually.
There is only one possible source of direction for our church and for our purpose in this community – God Himself.
In searching for our own individual mission, we think more inward than we do upward. We plot our course – without letting God establish our steps. We delight in our plans instead of our Savior and wonder why we struggle and are frustrated.
Equip the body for the works of the ministry
God has given the church and its leadership not to do the work of the ministry but to equip the people for that work.
Each and every one of us have a role – a position – a part to play in the kingdom work God is doing here and in our community.
There is kingdom work for you to do every single day. And it’s the church’s role not to do that work for you, but to equip you to do the work.
Equipping comes through gathering.
As we hold firm to our confession of faith, we are encouraging others and being encouraged by others, to love and to go out to do good works.
Gathering is important because it is when we are together that we are stirred into the work and mission God has outlined for us.
God’s word is useful to make us complete and equipped for every good work.
It is the church’s role to immerse you in the Word so you can grow in your walk with the Lord and so you can equipped for the work God has called you to.
The Holy Spirit empowers and equips us to share the truth of who Jesus is.
God will use and equip the people of His church to go out into our mission field and reap the harvest He has prepared!
We just have to go out – we have to be willing to do the work of the ministry.
You have to ask yourself how you can get involved in the work of the ministry.
Build up the body
The word in Greek that the writer of Hebrews used was oikodomé (oy-kod-om-ay'). It is a verb referring to the act of building – as in a home.
The mission of the church in building the body up is to provide constructive criticism and instruction that builds a person up to be the suitable dwelling place of God – where the Lord is "at home."
If Christ doesn’t abide in you – you can’t do the work of the ministry the church is supposed to equip you for.
Just like the branches cannot bear fruit without the vine, we cannot bear fruit in this world without Christ.
We cannot accomplish the mission God has set before us without Him.
If we try to do anything, even the mission God’s called us to, without Jesus – that work will be fruitless.
If the church is not building you up to be a suitable dwelling place where you are abiding in Christ and He is abiding in you – then you will be cut off. You will wither, you will be gathered and thrown into the eternal fire.
The church will do all we can to build you up so you can be a suitable dwelling place for Christ, but you must choose to abide in Him and let Him abide in you so that you can produce the fruit and be effective in the mission He’s given all of us in this world.
Quit focusing on the fruit and focus on Christ. Abide in Him, and trust that as you do – the fruit of being connected Him will naturally be evident in your life.

Worship through giving

Scripture tells us that the things we spend our money on reveal what is in our heart (Matthew 6:21). We believe that cheerful and sacrificial giving of our finances to the work of the local church is one of the deepest expressions of worship that we can offer and shows that we truly want to love as Jesus loved.
