Radical Grace
Radical: Living in the Fullness of Grace continues with Radical Grace. Grace is God as a heart surgeon, cracking open your chest, removing your heart—poisoned as it is with pride and pain—and replacing it with his own. Rather than tell you to change, he creates the change. Do you clean up so he can accept you? No, he accepts you and begins cleaning you up. His dream isn’t just to get you into heaven but to get heaven into you. - Max Lucado The Outlet Community Church (Atlanta, GA) exists to empower, equip, develop, and deploy people to live authentically.

Radical Grace
Radical Series - Part 3
Romans 1:16-17 (NKJV)
Not Ashamed - free from the feelings associated with but not limited to: failure, public exposure, disgrace, embarrassment, social rejection, ridicule, and dishonor.
Gospel - evangelion- good news; the announcement of victory after a battle and later the content of that message
Power - God’s ability, through the power of Holy Spirit, to deliver His people from sin and future judgment
Salvation - soteria - deliverance and preservation. Salvation from God’s wrath, forgiveness of and freedom from sin, and physical illness
Our belief system rises or falls based on our revelation of the Gospel.
1. Jesus! (John 1:1, 14, 16-17)
2. Th Gift of God (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9)
- No other system of religious thought, past or present, contains an emphasis pm divine grace comparable to that of the Bible
- The Old Testament refers to grace as chesed (goodness and mercy) and the New Testament commonly Refers to grace as charis (unmerited favor)
On our best days, we can not earn the grace of God. On our worst days we cannot lose the grace of God
Romans 3:20-27
Romans 8:3-4
Man can never earn a right relationship with God by doing good deeds.
Jesus is our High Priest and once-and-for-all sacrifice.
The High Priest was a man anointed by God to represent the people and offer sacrifices for the sins of the people
Hebrews 4:14-16
Fun Facts about The Day of Atonement
held once a year on a special sabbath (demonstrates even in the Old Covenant, the people had nothing to do with the forgiveness of their own sin)
only the High Priest was permitted to stand in the office as mediator between God and the people
1. What is the Gospel?
2. Do you find yourself attempting to do "good deeds" to earn God's favor? What are some ways to stay reminded of God's steadfast love for you?
3. What are the 2 Enemies of the Gospel of Grace? Have you ever witnessed either one or both of those enemies before?
