SCRIPTURE
But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. Galatians 4:4-5, ESV
God is at work while we wait. In that, He builds anticipation for what’s next!
THREE ADVENTS
“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed. He (Jesus) will crush your head, and you will strike His heel.” Genesis 3:15, BSB
The word advent means “arrival,” or “coming”.
1/ The Incarnation
So the Word became human and made His home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen His glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. John 1:14, NLT
2/ The Rapture
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, ESV
“Precisely because we cannot predict the moment, we must be ready at all moments.” C.S. Lewis
3/ The Second Coming
Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of Him. Revelation 1:7, ESV

The armies of heaven were following Him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Revelation 19:14, NIV
3/ Jesus first came as a helpless child, but will return as a triumphant King.
Though He was God, He did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, He gave up His divine privileges; He took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. Philippians 2:6-7, NLT
Then I saw heaven open, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems, and He has a name written that no one knows but Himself. He is clothed inn a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which He is called is The Word of God. On His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords. Revelation 19:11-13, 16, ESV
4/ Jesus first came in a manger, but will return from His throne.
