About OneLife Church
OneLife Church exists to see people discover God and how their one life can make a difference. We are passionate about it! Head over to http://www.onelifeknox.com to learn more about us!
I am simply enough for God.
1. What outsiders say about me doesn’t matter.
2. What I believe about myself doesn’t matter.
3. God’s glory - not mine - is what will last.
God says I am...
1. Forgiven.
1. Forgiven.
2. A child of the perfect Father.
3. Empowered.
4. Ready.
1. When have you had to do something for Christmas - decorate a fancy tree, wrap a present, buy the perfect gift, or cook the perfect meal, etc. - that you didn’t feel ready or equipped to do?
START THINKING
1. Read Luke 1:30-33 (see above) and imagine you are Mary hearing this for the first time. What would you have found most hard to believe about this? How would you have felt unqualified? Why?
2. Read Luke 1:35-37 (see above). How do these verses show God’s power? Why do you think this is God’s response to Mary not believing she is able to do what the angel said? How would this be encouraging or comforting to Mary - or you - in this situation?
START SHARING
1. Read the following verses and discuss what each one says about who God says that you are: John 1:12, John 15:15, John 15:16, Romans 8:37, Ephesians 2:10, 2 Corinthians 5:17, and 1 Peter 2:9 (see below).
2. Which is the above identities - or others that the Bible teaches - are most difficult for you to accept? Which have outsiders made difficult because of what they have said about you? Which ones go against what you believe about yourself?
START DOING
1. Read Luke 1:38 (see below). How can you make this your prayer. What would it sound like to pray this in your own words every day?
2. How does today’s topic of being enough for God and it being about His glory - not yours - impact the story you have to tell and the difference you can make in those where you live, work, and play?

START PRAYING
Each person share honestly where you don’t feel like you are simply enough for God. Pray for each other to believe what God’s word says about you rather than what outsiders say about you or what you even believe about yourself. Pray that each person in the micro church would be able to trust God to do what He promises, just like Mary did, because you are simply enough!
