3. Hope is one of the human essentials for life.
1. The dictionary defines hope as: a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. Biblically, we define hope as a confident expectation and desire for something good in the future, and we expect it to happen.
2. Jesus is our source of hope.
3. When we are born again, that hope now lives in us.
5. God has given us a hope beyond this world...the greatest motivation possible.
C. Christmas story is abundant with hope, there was a promise given and they believed...
1. Mary and Joseph had a hope in the promise of the Messiah.
2. The shepherds had to believe the message of the angels.
3. Anna and Simeon awaited the promise of the Messiah.
4. The wise men traveled miles following the star with the hope of finding the King!
D. Where do you find your hope and where do you need to build hope?
1. Has God given you promises you are waiting to be revealed?
2. Are there those who need to see, hear, and believe in your hope?
3. Have you been placing your hope in the things around you?
4. Do you need to get back to God promises and remember, He has a plan for you?
