Last week we began exploring this bible verse found right at the end of 2nd Corinthians. Paul blessed the church and said ‘May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God and the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
We looked at Grace and said that grace could be defined as “the unmerited or undeserving favor of God to those who are under condemnation."

Introduction
Today we want to look at the second part of Paul’s blessing and explore together ‘the Love of God’.
So many books have been written about love
Many films have been created about love
Lots of musical lyrics have been written and sang about love
But what really is love and more importantly what is God’s love?

What are the characteristic of God's love
Whilst it is easy to make statements of love, the big question always is what is the quality of the love we are talking about. In 1 Corinthians 13 Paul gives us a glimpse into what God’s love looks like

This is how God loves us
This is how God wants us to experience love
This is why what we do in community matters in helping others experience God’s love.

1. How do you know God loves you? How would you explain that assurance?

2. What does being loved by God mean to you and how has it changed you?

3. Have you ever asked God to help you love others? What happened?
