Our Kid Connection team is recruiting for fall! One of the biggest misconceptions about serving in our children’s ministry is that you have to create a lesson plan, and gather a bunch of supplies, and people think that they just don’t have the hours during the week to do all of that. If that’s what has been holding you back from serving, don’t let it! The Kid Connection staff provides the lesson plans and prepares all of the supplies so that when you arrive on Sunday morning everything is ready for you. They make it as easy as possible. We want to teach our kids to love God, love others, and live wisely, and we can’t do it without you. So if you’re interested, contact the Kid Connection team at firstname.lastname@example.org. They can answer any questions you have about serving!
Join us on August 12, directly after second service (12:15 pm), for a Mission Community Lunch! D&C G will present on their work in Asia, the Spain team will share how they went to serve alongside Giles and Debbie Davis during spring break, and the German team will share about the closing of our partnership in Dresden. Please plan to join us and invite a friend to introduce them to First Free missions. Reservations are very helpful! RSVP to email@example.com.
Financial Peace University consists of a nine-week video curriculum taught by financial expert Dave Ramsey, including small-group discussion. More than 4.5 million people have gone through this class and learned God’s ways of handling money. They’ve been taught how to create a budget they can actually follow, and they’ve rewritten their stories—changing their futures forever.

Thinking Critically and Christianly About Mental Health
A recent study reported that 1 in 5 adults have a mental health condition and mental health issues are growing among youth. How should Christians view and approach mental illness? What about therapy or medication to treat mental illness? Where does mental illness intersect with discipleship and prayer?
These questions and more will be discussed in this seminar led by John Richardson, Executive Pastor of Discipleship and Board Certified Pastoral Counselor. John will explore the impact of mental illness, various approaches to dealing with mental illness, a biblical understanding and the church’s response to this epidemic in our society. If you have been diagnosed with a mental illness, you know someone who has, or if you are interested in learning more, this seminar is for you.
