Giving Back to God

Your giving is an act of worship and makes the ministry of leading all onto a transforming path of Christ-centered discipleship possible. You may mail in your offering to the church, or you can give online by following the link below:
http://www.mentorumc.org/onlinegiving
Seeds are planted, and as they grow a root system develops. The roots … going down … help them grow up. If you allow Christ’s love and promises to be planted in your life, your life will reflect a developing root system.
Thanksgiving

True thanksgiving is not a result of everything going your way. So, if your candidate won or lost …. if your job is fulfilling or downsized …. if the pandemic ends tomorrow or continues …. You can be grateful. True thanksgiving is rooted in God’s love for you, revealed in Jesus. Nurturing a relationship with Jesus will enable you to withstand losses and downsizing and undefined answers.

How do you practice gratitude? Can you begin and end each day offering gratitude for how you see God at work in your life? Begin now. What is one thing you are grateful for in your life?
Direction

Are you one who asks for direction? Or do you resist help and keep trying to figure things out on your own? Being rooted in Christ impacts all of life. You never know when a storm may arise that threatens to knock you over or send you on a harmful detour. Do you talk to Jesus? Do you ask Jesus for help and direction? Do you seek to honor Jesus in your decisions and actions?

What is something that you need direction in? Write out a prayer to Jesus, believing that he hears you and wants to offer you direction.
