A law is a command that we must always observe.

A promise is a guarantee that will always come true.

A proverb is a catchy observation about the way things generally are.
Every proverb addresses one limited slice of reality.
“As effective as the Proverbs are as a guide to the blessed life, they will always be misleading if used as magical sayings, which could always automatically bring results.”
A Proverb a day keeps the stupid away!
