Today's message will address the struggle many of us have:
The need to be "In Control" verses the need to live a "Life of Surrender".

If we choose to "follow Jesus" ... then we've chosen to "relinquish control".

Surrendering to Jesus is not about "giving up" our life ... it's about "giving over" our life to Him in order to experience all that He has promised.

You might be a "control freak" IF .....

At the very core of "needing to be in control" is an "issue of trust" ... and ultimately an "issue of trusting God".

Learning to choose "Surrender Over Control" requires us to "trust" - and trust is "developed" in the context of "relationship".

The ''better we know" someone, the "easier we trust" them.

In order for us to trust our lives to Jesus - we must believe that Jesus is good and worthy of our trust.

The names of God reveal His character - and the character of God is good and worthy of our trust.

Are there any areas of your life that you've not yet surrendered to God? Is there anything that you're having a hard time trusting God with? Such as relationships, possessions, or yourself.

When we choose to follow Jesus - we choose to surrender our relationships, possessions, and self to Him. We choose to trust Him - and we choose to relinquish control to Him.
