QUESTION: How many of you honestly believe in the power of prayer?
NEXT QUESTION: How many, even though you believe in the power of prayer, also believe you could pray more consistently and with more faith?
Following Jesus was never meant to be safe. In order to live the life God has for us, we are going to need to tap into the POWER OF PRAYER. But, it’s time to stop living our lives praying SAFE prayers that lack faith and are inconsistent.

Prayer moves the heart of God, but some prayers move Him more than others. Bold prayers, daring prayers, and DANGEROUS PRAYERS are the kinds of prayers that move you too. If you’re ready to see God work in your life, praying SAFE won’t cut it. It’s time to pray DANGEROUS PRAYERS.
THE NEXT DANGEROUS PRAYER: SEARCH ME, O GOD

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psalm 139:23-24)
NUMBER ONE: SEARCH MY HEART
“Search me, O God, and know my heart.” (Psalm 139:23)
We need to understand that WITHOUT Jesus, we DO NOT have a good heart.
We must understand that without Jesus, our heart is not a good heart. We deceive others and we deceive ourselves. We are all LIARS. The most common lie that we tell is the LIE we tell ourselves. We don’t even really know how bad we are. Thus, the need for this DANGEROUS PRAYER.
QUESTION: What might God reveal to you when you pray this prayer?

When you pray SEARCH MY HEART, it’s a dangerous prayer because God will show you things in your heart that don’t belong there. Then it will actually bring you into a deeper intimacy with God so that the Holy Spirit can transform you into His image. This dangerous prayer just might be the very thing that will bring you CLOSER to God.
NUMBER TWO: REVEAL MY FEARS
“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.” (Psalm 139:23)
THE QUESTION: What is it that internally makes you afraid? What is it that makes you anxious?

Why would we even ask God to reveal our anxious thoughts? Wouldn’t asking that question just make us MORE anxious?

What we fear the MOST reveals where we trust God the LEAST.
What you fear most reveals where you trust God the least. When you recognize that area and that you are NOT trusting God – you can then get to the ROOT and make the change.
NUMBER THREE: UNCOVER MY SINS
“See if there any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psalm 139:24)
We tend to ACCUSE others and EXCUSE ourselves. It’s so easy to see what’s wrong with everyone else, but not with ourselves.
THREE QUESTIONS THAT HELP WITH SELF AWARENESS:
1. What are others trying to tell me?
2. What have I rationalized for some time?
3. Where am I most defensive?
SEARCH MY HEART. REVEAL MY FEARS. UNCOVER MY SINS.
What does all this do? It points us to our need for JESUS.
NUMBER FOUR: LEAD ME
“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psalm 139:23-24)
When we reveal everything to God, He can then take the REAL VERSION of us and LEAD US through everything.
THE REALITY: We are living in a time right now where it seems everyone is looking in every direction for someone to LEAD THEM.

THE QUESTION: When was the last time we prayed the DANGEROUS PRAYER and asked God to be one who LEADS us?
“Search me God. You have permission to look deep into the depths of my deceitful hear and show me where I need to trust you. Reveal those anxious thoughts and show me those places where I fear the most so that I can learn to trust you more. I don’t want to point the finger anywhere else – if there is anything offensive in me, lead me away from it. I want to live for you and allow you to lead me. I want you to be the source for where I turn when I need direction. Amen”

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psalm 139:23-24)
