Kingdom Culture is shaped by Kingdom Laws - Laws shape culture. What’s rejected, what’s accepted, what’s expected.
Law or love…love or law. It’s not law vs love…The law is love
THE LAW OF THE KINGDOM IS LOVE - Cannot understand Kingdom without love
LOVE IS THE CHIEF VALUE OF KINGDOM CULTURE
- If culture is a way of life…or “what’s normal here” - Love is what is normal in the Kingdom. It is the GREATEST expression of Kingdom Culture. - Love is the message of Christianity.

- He IS love, therefore it is his character and his nature. We are born into a broken culture - born again into kingdom culture. - We have to learn love in the Kingdom.
LOVE IS MORE THAN A FEELING
- Different types of love mentioned in scripture
- Eros - sensual love; focused on self - What the world thinks of love - lowest form of love
- Stergo - family love
- Phileo - mutual love; dependent upon reciprocity - “Philadelphia” brotherly love (ironic)
- Agape - finds extreme value in something; not based on what you can get; sacrificial

- Kingdom Love doesn’t require that you do anything or make me feel any way to love.
WE ARE CONDUITS OF KINGDOM LOVE
Love must be received before it can be given. You cannot give what you do not have. Love comes FROM God to us and out of that love we give love TO others.

- When we understand God’s love for us..and receive God’s love...only then can we truly love others. REALLY love them as Romans says.
- What stops the flow of love?
- Offense - Pride - Un-forgiveness
- Offense - Pride - Un-forgiveness
LOVE IS THE HIGHEST GOAL IN THE KINGDOM
In the Kingdom the highest goal is love. Love is the marker of a mature christian
Love is the gauge to know how well we are doing in the Kingdom.
It’s an upside down Kingdom...with an upside down way of loving.
- What would it look like if the law of love was your highest goal at home, in your school, in your workplace, in our church, in our community?
- Is there anything blocking the conduit of love that should be flowing through us? Offense, un-forgiveness, pride?
