Thrive | Stepping Up
What does it mean to follow Jesus in a culture that thinks faith itself is irrelevant? And how do we live by faith in a culture that thinks the very question marks us as out-of-touch and out-of-step with the modern world? As fresh as this issue might feel right now, the truth is that God’s people have always faced this same dilemma. Join us as we find insight and encouragement for this all-important question from the book of Daniel.

Welcome to Mission Hills!
Mission Hills is a church family—a family who wants to extend to you the same love, hope, and joy that we have received. We know that we cannot be all things to all people. But we do want to be one thing to all people. We want to be the place where anyone, of any age, of any level of spiritual maturity, of any economic class, of any ethnicity, of any church background—or no church background—can meet God in a way that transforms their life…forever!

If you are a first time guest, we would love to meet you! Stop by the Welcome Center for a free gift!

The Imagine initiative is all about dreaming big with God and preparing Mission Hills for new horizons of ministry. It’s not too late to get involved and support what God is doing at Mission Hills. If you’d like more information about our Imagine initiative, stop by the Welcome Center for a packet or visit our website.

What God does with Daniel is a picture of what He does with each of us.
Daniel was able to thrive in Babylon because he never let Babylon define him.
Have you ever felt weak, afraid and helpless?
God always delivers to us what is needed to accomplish what He demands from us.
The “prince of Persia” is fallen angel (aka "demon") that is focused on the Persian empire.
We only see part of the picture.
The more honest we are about our weakness, the more open we are to God’s strength.
We thrive when we respond to God's grace by standing up, speaking up and stepping up.
The angel didn’t come to announce relief, but to rally God’s people for the final push.
1. What is God waking you up from right now? (from despair, being overwhelmed, apathy, selfishness, etc.)

2. How is God calling you to stand up? (to prepare to face the future with courageous faith?)

3. How is God calling you to speak up? (to be open about your weaknesses, insecurities and fears)

4. How is God calling you to step up? (to move forward with courageous faith)
