SONG LYRIC - Leaning on the Everlasting Arms
Leaning (leaning on Jesus)
Leaning (leaning on Jesus)
Safe and secure from all alarms
Leaning (leaning on Jesus)
Leaning (leaning on Jesus)
Leaning on the everlasting arms

What a fellowship what a joy divine
Leaning on the everlasting arms
What a blessedness what a peace is mine
Leaning on the everlasting arms

O how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way
Leaning on the everlasting arms
O how bright the path grows from day to day
Leaning on the everlasting arms

What have I to dread what have I to fear
Leaning on the everlasting arms
I have blessed peace with my Lord so near
Leaning on the everlasting arms

SONG LYRIC - Chain Breaker
If you've been walking the same old road
For miles and miles
If you've been hearing the same old voice
Tell the same old lies
If you're trying to fill the same old holes inside
There's a better life
There's a better life

If you've got pain He's a pain taker
If you feel lost He's a way maker
If you need freedom or saving
He's a prison shaking Savior
If you got chains He's a chain breaker

We've all searched for the light of day
In the dead of night
We've all found ourselves worn out
From the same old fight
We've all run to things we know just ain't right
When there's a better life
There's a better life

If you believe it
If you receive it
If you can feel it
Somebody testify

What do most of us want to be known for?
A. W. Tozer, ‘Promoting self under the guise of promoting Christ is currently so common as to excite little notice.
Let Your Lord Know Your World.
'To care is a virtue, but to foster cares is sin, for such anxiety is not to trust in God.’
Why should we leave our concerns with the Lord?
Jesus doesn't want you to be anxious.

Luke 12:22 (ESV)
22 And he said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on.

Luke 12:31 (ESV)
31 Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be added to you.

1. You were made for something more.

Luke 12:22–23 (ESV)
22 And he said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. 23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.
2. God is trustworthy to rely upon.

Luke 12:24 (ESV)
24Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!
3. Anxiety is unproductive.

Luke 12:25 (ESV)
25And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?
4. He does far more than you think.

Luke 12:26–29 (ESV)
26If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you anxious about the rest? 27Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! 29And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be worried.
5. He knows your needs.

Luke 12:30 (ESV)
30For all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you need them.
6. He can carry it for you.

Luke 12:31 (ESV)
31Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be added to you.
7. He is a better king.

Luke 12:32 (ESV)
32“Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
SONG LYRIC - Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)
Amazing grace how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost but now I'm found
Was blind but now I see

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

My chains are gone I've been set free
My God my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love amazing grace

The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God who called me here below
Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine
You are forever mine
