APPLICATION QUESTIONS:
1. Why can we have much confidence when we come to our Lord in prayer? Review the following Scripture as you respond: Psalm 65:2, 136:1-9; Luke 11:13; Romans 8:26-27; Hebrews 4:14-16.
2. Review these “great” prayers recorded in the Bible and observe principles, truths, and lessons that provide confidence to us as we pray: Genesis 32:9-12; 1 Chronicles 29:10-20; Isaiah 37:14-20; Matthew 26:39; Luke 23:34; Colossians 1:9-13.
3. Describe a time when God answered prayer in a way that you had not intended or envisioned. What lesson did you learn from this experience?
4. Describe your greatest struggle in prayer. How can this challenge be overcome?
5. What is a single take-away for you and how will your life be changed by today’s sermon?
