CHOICES that you make every day can and will help you build the heart-conditions to elicit a positive and happy attitude.

TRUISM: No One Can Make You Happy!

ACKNOWLEDGMENT: Depression Is Real and Must Be Dealt With Appropriately!

LIVING with a happy attitude comes from being pleased with who and what you are.

God gives us advice in the Bible regarding CHOICES that we can make that will help build a happy attitude in our lives.
CHOICE #1: THINK LIKE AN OPTIMIST RATHER THAN A PESSIMIST.

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” (Jam. 1:2-4)

“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us… And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (Rom. 8:18, 28)
CHOICE #2:MASTER YOUR MOODS.

FIRST HABIT: Do it now!

SECOND HABIT: Affirm God’s Word!

“Prepare your minds for action. Discipline yourself.” (1 Pet. 1:13)

“Let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind.” (Rom.12:2a)
CHOICE #3: BE A THERMOSTAT RATHER THAN A THERMOMETER.

“Keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God...” (Acts 27:25)

“Is anyone happy? He should sing songs of praise.” (Jam. 5:13)
CHOICE #4: ENJOY LAUGHTER.

“Doctors have been telling me for years that, ‘You can’t kill a happy man.’ When I press for an explanation, they suggest that unhappiness often precedes illness. Happy people rarely get sick and tend to recover quickly when they do get sick. the unhappy person is a target for any and every kind of illness.” ~ Bruce Larson

“A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” (Pro. 17:22)
CHOICE #5: GIVE YOURSELF TO SERVICE TO OTHERS.
Above all else, if we are to have a happy (positive) attitude, it is imperative that we choose to know the One person who can make us happy! That person is Jesus Christ, God the Son.

When we make this choice (to know Him) we will find that happiness (true joy, fulfillment, Shalom!) is much more than a choice…''

It is a by-product of the Christian life.
