Eschatology, from 2 Greek words, eschatos-“last,” and logos, “the word.” So eschatology is “the study of the last word.” It’s as if Jesus, before ascending to the Father, turns to His disciples and say, “I have one more thing to say!”

Stuff you gotta know—The Millennium is a “1,000” year period of time, in which the Bible says Satan will be bound, Jesus reigns, and Christians reign with Jesus.
#1—The NON-Biblical View
This is the view that the Bible is not the authority source which we turn to, so anything is possible.
#2-Preterism, meaning “Already”
This is the view that all the things written about in these chapters were accomplished in the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD. That is, it wrongly teaches that Jesus came back and the final judgment has already happened.
The Post has to do with the return of Jesus.
Jesus returns when?—after the millennium. Post-millennialism is the view that emphasizes all the verses that say Christians will reign; they totally saturate and dominate society. Then Jesus returns to an already saved, Christianized world.
The Pre has to do, again, with the return of Jesus.
Jesus returns when?—before the millennium
This view teaches that there is a great tribulation period of 7 years before Jesus comes back, but that Christians are raptured from the earth and don’t go through it. After the tribulation period, Jesus comes back, and becomes king of the world, In Jerusalem, for a very real 1000-year reign, then final judgment happens.

The A has to do with the Millennium.
It means there is NO LITERAL Millennium—which is the same as the Post-millennial view, EXCEPT this view doesn’t have any notion of Christians dominating society.

In this view, the Millennium described in Rev. 20 is simply a long period of time, THE ENTIRE AGE BETWEEN JESUS FIRST AND SECOND COMING, when 2 things happen—satan is bound by the preaching of the gospel, and martyred Christians reign with Jesus in heaven.
