What it says about Jesus in 1 Peter 2:3-10:
• the living cornerstone of God's temple
• rejected by people
• chosen by God for great honor
• the mediation
• a cornerstone
• chosen for great honor
• The stone that the builders rejected... the cornerstone
• the stone that makes people stumble, the rock that makes them fall
• God's word

What it says about us (Christ followers) in 1 Peter 2:3-10:
• you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple
• you are his holy priests
• you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God
• you who trust him
• you are a chosen people, royal priests, a holy nation, God's very own possession
• you can show others the goodness of God
• he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light
• "One you had no identity as a people, now you are God's people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God's mercy."

if these things found in 1 Peter 2:3-10 are true, then...
• You are experiencing God (v3)
• You are holding something up (v5)
• You are a connection point (v5)
• You are highly favored (v9)
• You are given a brand new start (v10)

...and these things are true of the people outside of our walls:
• There are those who have not yet tasted the goodness of God
• There are those who reject Jesus
• There are those who stumble
• There are those who live in darkness
• There are those who don't have a place to belong
