http://www.lifechurchmd.com/Being broken is hard and painful. When God breaks us it isn't because he is angry with us. He showers us in His grace in the process because he sees something in us that needs to be re-shaped, re-molded into more of His likeness.
Jeremiah 31: 3-4 - promises us he will restore us, that joy will come again.In being broken we are reminded of the power of humbling ourselves before God.
Psalm 51:1 "God draws near to the broken and contrite heart a repentant heart. He is a father who loves his children
We are reminded that no one has it all together except God and he still loves us and chases us down even in our brokenness. Like the lost sheep he comes and searches for us and loves with a reckless love with no thought to what it will cost him. He gave his life for us, even in our broken state. Luke 15: 1-6 God's love bankrupted heaven for you.

Being broken draws us to the things that matter. It refines our hearts and minds if we will let the process of brokenness work. We will start to see the beauty and freedom in being broken.
In the brokenness we are reminded to "Fix our Gaze" on him to stop focusing on the worthless things around us that fill us with anxiety, and temporary joy. Proverbs 4:24-27, Ps. 119:37
In brokenness we find that only God's wisdom brings life. Proverbs 3:22- words of wisdom will be life to you
Proverbs 4:22- ...For they are life to those who find them and health to a man's whole body.
When we start to glean from God's word we start to really find out who we are in Him. We are his dearly beloved, the one he adores and longs to have fellowship with.
We can rest with assurance that He will NEVER leave nor forsake us. Hebrews 13:5-6. Our confidence will be in him because because he is our ulimate helper. The one who knows the beginning from the end.

In giving up control we remember we really never were in control and that He has a better plan that we do.
He only wants what is best for you.

Fix your gaze in your brokenness on God and He will restore us. He is the only super "woman/man" we don't have to be. Let's trust His process, surrender and be "Gracefully Broken".

Established in 2010, the I-55 partnership focuses on sharing the love of Jesus with international University students in the US and abroad. Our name originates from Isaiah chapter 55, often referred to as “The Messiah’s Invitation to the World.”
Our Ocean City, MD summer project attracts international students working for minimum wages and helps give them a chance to experience American cultural activities. We also provide a safe environment for them to hang out, play games, practice their English and hear the Gospel message in a meaningful way.
