Today is Mother's Day, and we want to take some to celebrate the women who make such a difference in our personal lives and in the life of our church. While not every woman is a mom, every woman has the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of those whom God puts in her path.

YOUTH FUNDRAISER AT RAPID FIRED PIZZA - EAST DOROTHY LANE
JUNE 12TH 11:00 AM - 10:00 pm.
Please support our amazing teens and eat lunch or dinner at Rapid Fired Pizza on Tuesday, June 12th! This is an easy way for our teens to raise money to go to State Convention and Camp as we will receive 25% of sales for the day! The fundraiser runs all day long, from open to close, but we would love to have you join us for dinner at the Dorothy Lane location from 6:00 - 8:00 if you can make it.
Flyers will be handed out soon- you must have a flyer in order to receive credit for the sale! See you there!
KETTERING CHURCH AT BOGG
We now have 2 opportunities to serve BOGG each month going forward! The 4th MONDAY starting in June will be the Wilmington Avenue delivery. The 4th THURSDAY starting in June will be the NEW Beavertown Elementary Delivery. What a great opportunity to reach more people in our community! Please consider serving here as a family- NO AGE MINIMUMS! (May schedule: Beavertown 5/24 and Wilmington Ave. 5/31)

August 26th at 2:00pm
Join us for an amazing game of baseball after church on 8/26! Tickets are $15 each and we will be seated in lower level section 115 on the 3rd baseline. We only have 60 seats available and they need to be purchased by 6/26/18. Please sign up in the rear of the auditorium or see Wendy after church!
HEART FOR AFRICA MINISTRIES
We are looking for a group of people to establish and manage a Kettering Church Mission team for the Heart For Africa Ministry. This group will not necessarily be a team that will go to Africa. Rather, it will be a team that helps the ministry grow and stay focused on God’s purpose and plan while the Siafa family travels to Africa and beyond. Please see Thomas Siafa or call Wendy in the church office.

RAISE THE ROOF!
We have recently been blessed with great news regarding our flat roof! The repair and completion that originally was quoted over $30k can actually be completed for $7k! Please come alongside us and commit to bumping your weekly giving! Please include an amount in addition to your regular giving and designate it to the Building Fund. We are excited and confident that our little church is going to meet this goal of $7,000!

Rubies are considered metamorphic stones. The presence of intrusive magma under the earth's surface or the shifting of tectonic plates puts intense heat and/or pressure on igneous and sedimentary rock causing changes to the chemical or crystal structure of the rocks. The result is metamorphic rock, a rock that has changed its form.

Much like the ruby, we as humans, undergo metamorphic change when we come to Christ. Often, the pressures and fires of life continue to refine and change us, and God works in us in these times shaping and molding us into something beautiful.
Natural gemstones (those made through natural processes) are worth more than those created in labs (by human efforts).
Much like natural gemstones, a woman formed and shaped by almighty God is more precious than one made by human efforts.
This is not to say that we, as humans, should not put forth effort in becoming the person that God created us to be, but when God does a supernatural work in us we become like precious gemstones.

A godly woman is a most precious treasure to those whom she loves and shares her life with. Her value extends far beyond her ability to seduce with her words or her beauty. Through the presence of almighty God in her life, she leaves a lasting impact in her family, her community and her world.
