Small Group Guide
In your own words, define what you believe the word "worship" means. Read John 4:20-24 aloud. How does Jesus redefine worship from what the woman understood? What does it look like to worship only in emotions or tradition but not in truth? Why does God desire us to worship in truth and in spirit?
Read Matthew 15:5-9 aloud.
How does Jesus define worship in these verses? Tradition is good and useful to worship God, but when does tradition become a hindrance to our worship? What might it look like today to worship God with our mouths, but our hearts be far from Him?
Read James 1:26-27 aloud. What does James consider as pure religion? What practical things can we do in order to make sure that our beliefs translate into actions? Why is it easy to view religion as a feeling instead of an action?

Spring Clean-Up!
Come on out on May 19th starting at 10:00 am for our annual Spring Clean-Up! All manner of projects are in need of attention: Working on the new building's sound panels, window washing, small maintenance tasks in the old building, clearing brush near the creek, and more. Let's all lend a hand for a few minutes (or a few hours) and get it all done! No need to sign up, just show up!
