People of the church have believed Jesus died and rose again and have surrendered to Him to be Lord of their lives

When the church is described it is always gathered

“Meeting, however, isn’t just something churches do. A meeting is, in part, what a church is. God has saved us as individuals to be a corporate assembly.”1

Why does the gathering of the church matter? Because when we come together we’re told that there is power.

Even apart you are what makes the church, your personal membership to a church constitutes an important piece of the church as a whole

It becomes obvious that when the church is gathered it is somehow more of a church

By being a part of a local church, you submit a pastor who shepherds you

We also submit to each other so when someone calls out our sin IN LOVE we will humbly consider the accusation and seek repentance with God

The Israelites were God’s ambassadors to the other nations of the earth

God continues to display Himself and His coming Kingdom through believers, royal priests
