What’s pleasing to God is when His Church – His people – are a mercy-filled people & church.

What is it to be merciful?
In both OT and NT mercy is an action taken by the strong towards the weak, the rich towards the poor, the insider towards the outsider, those who ‘have’ towards those who ‘have not’.
Mercy as given by God is the foundation of forgiveness.

Forgiveness is NEVER free, but it is ALWAYS freeing.

…growing in forgiveness and a heart of mercy is part of growing/maturing from a spiritual baby to a spiritual mother and father.

MERCY is to mark our lives as followers of Jesus – the Church is to be a mercy-filled Church.
Offenses tend to grow their roots at the base of our un-dealt with hurts/wounds. Forgiveness & mercy grows its ROOTS at the foot of the Cross.
