Authentic Christian leadership and Christian living is best expressed through humility and serving one another.

Throughout the letter of 1st Peter is a call to a condition of heart and a way of life that only makes sense because we are certain of an ultimate reward at the end of this life.

- Elders provide spiritual oversight and guidance as well as pastoral care to those entrusted to them.

- The metaphors we accept for biblical leadership significantly guide our practice of that leadership.

Peter's exhortation to the believers is for them to realize God describes us as sheep.

Humility is the attitude that significantly validates God's people.
