Hidden Blessings (Part 1): The Blessing in Grief
The Sermon on the Mount is the pinnacle sermon of Christian Living and Values. The key to walking out the life God desires us to live starts with holding the belief you are not waiting to be blessed but each moment you live is the blessing. In the first message, in the Hidden Blessing Series, we will look at the Hidden Blessing that comes from grief.

Weekly Bible Reading Plan: “Grieving with Hope” -
"blessed" used in the Sermon on the Mount is the greek word markairos - “The hidden blessing of resting in God’s love to produce depth from within”

When we go through any significant grief experience, we come out of it as different people. Depending upon the way we respond to this event, we are either stronger people than we were before, or weaker; either healthier in spirit, or sicker. - Dr. Granger E. Westberg

Matthew 5:3 (Greek to English Rendering)

There is a hidden blessing of resting in God’s love to realize our own utter helplessness and need for Him, causing us to put our whole trust in God.
to produce depth from within,
We must gain clarity in a world that can be at times convoluted and complex.
How will I know if I’m walking in my purpose? Stop controlling, start obeying and you will walk in what you are created to do.

Steps of purpose often appear backward.
#Protip to Gain Clarity - Do what we know. Avoid the temptation of doing nothing until knowing everything.

"I am asking for every head of household to establish a Weekly Digital Fast. One hour a week, I am asking there are no electronics (TVs, Computer, Laptops, Tablets, or Screens). Use that time to draw closer to God and each other. Read the Bible, books, complete crossword puzzles, play board games but absolutely no electronics one hour a week." - Pastor Vince Thomas, Jr.
Question for E-Groups (

How Are You? Really. (disclaimer: no one-word answers and cannot mention another person in relation to how you are feeling).

When you get knocked down, who do you give permission to ask the tough questions in your life?

How specifically could I be praying for you?

*Discuss these questions with family and friends this week.
