IGNITE Kids Experience
Get ready for our IGNITE Kids Experience hosted by our Momentum Music, All Access and Kids teams Tue, Jul 17 to Thu, Jul 19 from 6:30-8p at Gulf Breeze Middle School! Ignite a passion in your kids’ hearts through a fun-filled 3-night experience of hands-on learning with our teams — and a special 3rd night for IG*NITE of WORSHIP! Various sessions will teach your kids about music and where it originated from a biblical perspective, fun and movement in leading worship, intro to instruments, singing, songwriting, production (audio, video, lighting, cameras, and more! The regular rate is $30 per child ($20 every child after that) and ends July 15th. Cost includes IGNITE t-shirt, snacks, materials, and each night at the venue. Starting Over: How to ensure next time won’t be like last time (whether you caused the “starting over” or not…)
We learn from our mistakes in the areas that matter least.
We repeat our mistakes in the areas that matter the most.
Finances, relationships, parenting, leadership, romance…
WHY? Because we believe 3 myths:
The Experience Myth: Experience makes me wiser.
(Evaluated experience makes me wiser!)
The Know Better Myth: Since I know better, I’ll do better.
(Know better does not = do better!)
The Time Myth: Time is against me.
(Time is my friend!)
Own It
Rethink It
Release It
BOTTOM LINE: You make peace with your past by owning your piece of the past.
Own it so it won’t own you.
Your best bet for a successful future is to own your share of the past.
The “Blame Game” (We are natural-born blamers)
27 So God created human beings[a] in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.28 Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”
Genesis 1:27-28, NLT
8 When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the Lord God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the Lord God among the trees.9 Then the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” 10 He replied, “I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked.” 11 “Who told you that you were naked?” the Lord God asked. “Have you eaten from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat?” 12 The man replied, “It was the woman you gave me who gave me the fruit, and I ate it.” 13 Then the Lord God asked the woman, “What have you done?” “The serpent deceived me,” she replied. “That’s why I ate it.”

We can’t blame our way into a better future.
Blame enables us to smuggle our issues into our future.
Blame sets us up for a repeat performance. (Cain)
10 But the Lord said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground! 11 Now you are cursed and banished from the ground, which has swallowed your brother’s blood. 12 No longer will the ground yield good crops for you, no matter how hard you work! From now on you will be a homeless wanderer on the earth.”
13 Cain replied to the Lord, “My punishment is too great for me to bear! 14 You have banished me from the land and from your presence; you have made me a homeless wanderer. Anyone who finds me will kill me!”

Owning Your Part Leads to a Pure Heart & Results In Clarity For Your Future
God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God.
Matthew 5:8 NLT
Purity of heart brings clarity of thought.
When you hide from something, the best part of you is not available.
If you want to enter your future healthy as you start over, you have to come out of hiding.
We can’t heal when we hide!
God won’t heal until we reveal.
It is both painful and shameful but very beneficial.
It’s the only way….WHY
Because: Admitting our faults ignites our healing!
What’s in your piece of the pie?
NEXT TIME can be better than LAST TIME, but not just because you want it to be!
