Y.C.R.E.W. Youth and Young Adult Conference
This year’s theme is “INCARCERATED”. On Friday, May 20th the doors will open at 6:45 pm for “Death Row” (the Premiere Service) with Special Guest “Pasta A.D" Adrian Davis from Huntsville, AL. The "AFTER-PARTY“ will immediately follow. Only individuals ages 13 and above will be admitted to the After-Party. Youth Weekend continues Saturday May 21st with a "General Population“ session at 11:00 am followed by the Incarcerated Community Kickball Tournament. There is a $25.00 fee per team (adults may participate). The Y.A.C. (Young Adult Christians) will be hosting "Cell Block 18U: ALL WHITE AFFAIR" (YOU MUST BE 18 OR OLDER TO ATTEND) Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m. The weekend climaxes on Sunday May 22nd at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Elder LaJunda Bean will be the special guest speaker during our finale service at 7 p.m. You don't want to miss any of this great power packed weekend. Tradition has a way of holding you to your past, which some people love.
· But it also has a way of limiting your future.
· The box is designed to contain something…
· The box is intended to enclose something…
· The box is built to keep certain things in, but the result is that it also keeps some things out.

The out of the box Church is first and foremost a church that has a God-given and God-breathed revelation of who Jesus is.
When you look at the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, you see very quickly that His ministry was definitely an “Outside the box” ministry.
His ministry was so different from what other people thought it should be that they failed to recognize who He really was.

We see here 2 very distinct ways of relating to God through Christ. We can attempt to related to Him through the route of the flesh which is restrictive and limiting or we can attempt to relate to and get to know Him through the route of the Spirit which brings freedom and liberty.
Jesus’s ministry was and is the expression of “Out of the Box” church thinking.
· His ministry was too immense for a box.
· His anointing was too great for a box.
· His zeal was too huge for a box.
· His passion was too vast for a box.
Jesus ministry did not fit protocol. It did not fit standard procedure.
· There was nothing common…
· There was nothing usual…
· There was nothing traditional about Jesus.
· And there was nothing Common, Usual or Traditional about the Church His ministry produced.
· His ministry was too immense for a box.
· His anointing was too great for a box.

· His passion was too vast for a box.

An Outside the Box Church is a church that is willing to do whatever it needs to do to reach it’s communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The church in the book of Acts did things that no other religion would do.
· It reached out and healed people.
· It fed the hungry
· It clothed the naked.
· It delivered the oppressed.
· It embraced Baptism
· And it desired to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

The out of the Box Church is a Church that is flowing in power!

The Out of the Box Church is called to be different. She is called to stand out not just from the World but the religious box of our day.

Then you will be able to ·decide [discern; test and approve] what ·God wants for you [is God’s will]; you will know what is good and pleasing to him and what is perfect.

The early church was an Outside the Box Church. And it reached it generation with the Gospel.
It not only reached its community, but it also went out and reached the communities around it. This church turned the world upside down!

· It was a loving church
· It was a forgiving church
· It was an enabling church
· It was a growing church
· It had no boundaries
· It had no limits
· It had no walls
· And it had no boxes…
It not only reached its community, but it also went out and reached the communities around it. This church turned the world upside down!
