Kalamazoo First Assembly of God
Anastasis: "From Desperation to Declaration"
Anastasis. Probably a word a majority of people wouldn’t know, recognize, or use. But to the New Testament Church, it meant everything. Anastasis means “resurrection.” It speaks of “rising up.” And for the new Church, it was where new life began and it was the power to live from each day. The Apostle Paul said it best in Romans 8:11. “The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.” The Spirit of God causes us to #RISEUP out of our sin and brokenness, out of inadequacy and weakness. The Spirit of God Spirit causes us to #RISEUP into a new and empowered life. Starting Sunday February 18, Kfirst embarks on a 6-week series and season of refreshing called “Anastasis.” Our pastor, along with some guest speakers, want to bring a season of refreshing into our church community with a heart to see us #RISEUP into a new and empowered life.

Don’t live in the ruins of what “has been” but #RiseUp in faith to what “could be.”
The words you hold and speak determine the health of your soul.

#RiseUp
Too many people cannot perceive victory with their eyes because they don’t possess victory in their hearts.

#RiseUp
Don’t release God to work in your circumstances but restrict Him from working in your life.

#RiseUp
A Christ-centered declaration should do more than us look forward, it should make us look inside.

#RiseUp
