The Seven Most Terrible Words
The Seven Most Terrible Words - "I never knew you, depart from me"
Hell is the temporary holding place of the dead who died without Jesus.
When Jesus described hell in the Gospels he used very important words that give us insight into the horrors of hell.
Outer darkness - people who tell their testimony of going there, describe darkness so dark you can feel it.
Paired with outer darkness is the phrase "weeping and gnashing of teeth" - In Bible times, cities had large walls that surrounded their city to protect from invaders and roaming lions. People would throw their trash over the wall and it would pile up. As in trash today, there was uneaten food discarded into those trash piles. Lions would come and eat the food that was thrown away during the night time.
Part of the judicial process for those who were suspected of crimes but it couldn’t be proven, they would tie them up and lower them over the wall and leave them their over night. If they were devoured by lions, the court would assume they were guilty. But if they survived, they were declared innocent. Yet, those who survived were driven insane by the fear, threat, and noises of the surrounding lions. They would gnash their teeth in fear sometimes devouring their own tongue in insanity due to fear.
Jesus uses this phrase to show the extreme dread that fills all of hell.
Hell (Gehenna) - This was originally the valley of Hinnom, south of Jerusalem, where the filth and dead animals of the city were cast out and burned; it was given as a figurative example of hell and of the wicked and their future destruction. It was a place of fire where the smell of death and filth filled the area.

Hell is more horrible than you can imagine, but it is not forever. There is something worse that happens later.
The Great White Throne Judgment - no Believer stands there, this is the judgment seat for all those that reject Jesus.
Matt 13:42 - furnace of fire
Mat 25:41 - everlasting fire prepared for Satan and the demons, not mankind! But if you align yourself with Satan, then you receive his judgment.
How can a loving God send people whom He loves to such a place of horror and torment? He doesn’t, people send themselves. The only thing that sends you to hell and the lake of fire is rejecting Jesus. If you never make a decision for Him that is the same as rejecting Him.
But you don’t have to go there! There is a hell to shun, but there is a heaven to gain. Jesus tasted death and the grave for all men. Who ever Believes in and follows Him, will not go to hell.

What does the Bible say about Heaven?
Since God is faithful and just to forgive us all our sins and forget them, we could not possibly be judged for our sins when we stand before Him.
What could the word "bad" in 2 Corinthians 5:10 mean?
bad - worthless
good - benefit
Are you living your life doing what is beneficial to the kingdom of God? Or are you living your life doing what is worthless to the Kingdom of God?

Whatever remains, determines your reward in Heaven and eternity.
The question for the Believer is not where you will spend eternity, but how. - John Bevere
There are rewards, crowns, and positions that God has for you throughout eternity. But the best go to those who receive “well done” and those who fulfill their call.
