How did the word about Jesus spread so widely, so quickly?

Hosanna literally means "please save us."

This huge crowd was making a dangerous declaration of their faith in Jesus.

How did the crowd get this deep confidence in Jesus?

Jesus accepted their faith.

But Jesus challenged their expectations.

Jesus wasn’t coming to save them in the way – or from what – they expected.

Prayer from a pastor of a persecuted church in Egypt:

"If you pray for us, you will pray for the wrong things..You will pray that the church will be safe. You will pray for persecution to cease. We are not praying for these things. We ask God for the salvation of Egypt. We ask that he draw millions of Muslims to Christ. We ask that we will be bold and clear in sharing our faith with Muslims. And we pray that when the inevitable persecution comes… that we will not run away, that we will be faithful in that persecution even if it costs us our lives. Will you tell your friends to pray these prayers with us?”

If God isn’t answering your prayer for deliverance, then maybe you’re asking to be delivered from the wrong thing.

The disciples didn’t get it when they were in it.

Understanding comes faster when I live in anticipation of understanding.

They weren’t just talking…they were testifying.
